I offer painting and decorating both inside and outside the home.  This includes preparing the surfaces, painting ceilings, internal walls, woodwork, outside walls, fences, window frames, in fact anything that needs painting I can paint it, or wallpaper it!!  I also do wall tiling in kitchens and bathrooms and fit vinyl flooring and carpets in small rooms.  The flooring aspect is only really limited to the size of the carpet or vinyl and how easy it is to move and fit for 1 person.  

I can do all those little jobs around the home for you.  I build flat pack furniture and fix to walls, fit shelves, curtains, pictures, mirrors, towel rails, etc.  I repair doors, gates, walls, like that front doorstep that’s cracked, and you keep tripping over it.  I’m happy cleaning windows, sorting and cleaning outbuildings, or that really high cupboard that hasn’t been looked in for 10 years!  I’m happy moving furniture, replacing light bulbs or putting all those things in the loft or the garage that you can’t do yourself.   

I love a good project! I enjoy helping with the planning, ordering of things, and then completing the work. You might want to fit new skirting, or replace the bathroom suite, or fit your own flat pack kitchen.  You might want to partition off a room, or completely re-decorate it.  You might have a garden project laying a base for a shed and then putting it up and building some raised beds, or even creating a new lawn and flower bed area.  If it is a big project, we will discuss your needs and I will do a full quote for all the work.  I work on the basis that you supply all the main materials and have them on hand when the project starts, thus saving time and money as I won’t be travelling to buy things for the project.  I would of course help plan and measure, so you know what to get, and happy to work together as a team.  

This may seem like an odd service, but you might be surprised how many people don’t like to do work on ladders.  I am happy working up to the height of first floor windows of most properties.  Above that height I just don’t have the equipment or support of someone to hold the ladder for me. I am happy using ladders inside the house, going into the attic, working on or painting stairwells, as well as the more common shelf fitting etc.  

I love being out in the garden, well apart from when it is chucking it down! I do however know how hard it can be to maintain or improve a garden area yourself or put up some storage.  I help with mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding, moving and planting pots and plants.  I build raised beds, repair fences and patio slabs.  I take down old structures, build sheds and replace outbuilding roof - or I can simply put some shelves up in your existing shed and give it a paint.  I build outdoor structures for play areas, build ponds, or can help you design and put together a small garden.  I am a fan of re-purposing in general, but out in the garden it can really add character and keep the costs down.  On my gallery page you will see some good examples of re-using old things and I am always keen to get new ideas.  

On top of painting and decorating, I can do many things within your kitchen, bathroom and utility room.  Fitting sinks, taps, plumbing in washing machines or dishwashers, adding in new plumbing for taps and wastes, or fixing parts that leak.  I re-seal baths and showers, replace toilets or replace the flushing system.  I build and fit kitchen units, smaller worktops and replace existing doors and handles.  I fit shower curtain rails and doors, shelves, mirrors and anything else you want in your kitchen and bathroom.
